Delete your Chanakya Astro account

The Chanakya Astro Android app and chanakyaastro.com use the same account. Use this page to delete it permanently — you do not need the app installed.

How to delete your account

Enter the email address and password you use in the app or on the website.
Type DELETE in the confirmation box.
Press "Delete my account". Your account is deleted immediately.

What is deleted

Your account: name, email address, phone number and password
Saved birth details and horoscope (jathagam) data
Language and notification preferences, and push notification subscriptions linked to the account
Sign-in sessions on all devices
Newsletter subscription and messages you sent through our contact form

What is kept

Nothing that identifies you is kept in our database after deletion.
Comments you posted on articles show only the name you typed and are not linked to your account. To remove them, contact us.
Our hosting provider's routine server backups may contain a copy for up to 30 days, after which it is overwritten.

Good to know

Uninstalling the app does not delete your account — use this page.
PDF reports you downloaded stay on your own device; delete them there if you wish.
You can create a new account at any time, but deleted data cannot be restored.
